Every dancer deserves a home.
Huney Beez started with six students and a borrowed speaker in a community centre basement. Today it's a full-time home for over 150 young people in Jane & Finch — here's how we got here, and why.
Meet our founder.
As a former resident of Jane and Finch, our founder was often told she'd always be a product of her environment. She started teaching free dance classes out of a community centre basement with six students and a borrowed speaker.
Today, Huney Beez Studios exists to prove that environment doesn't define outcome — for every young person facing gun violence, high crime, and a shortage of affordable, welcoming programs. Dance is how we tell our story and say how we feel when words aren't enough.
How we got here.
Our mission.
To give every young person in Jane & Finch a home where they are fed, mentored and heard — using dance as the bridge to family, food security and mental health support.
